Harper and Schwarber HR as Wheeler and Phils top Pads to unlock the NLCS

SAN DIEGO (AP) – Bryce Harper is back again, Kyle Schwarber’s amazing move, 488 feet, Zach Wheeler was brilliant at hitting the hit-hit ball for seven rounds to lead the Philadelphia Phillies over the San Diego Padres 2-0 Tuesday night to open The all-around NL Championship Series.

Wheeler and two painkillers combined on one hitter for Philadelphia. The Phillies managed just three hits from Darvish and Bullpen in San Diego — the four hits combined matched the lowest ever in a post-season game.

The Phillies will try to lead 2-0 when they send Aaron Nola to the pile to face Blake Snell on Wednesday afternoon. Nola is set to attack his brother, Padres Musk Austin Nola.

“I thought Darvish was really good and we couldn’t move on, but Harper, three games in a row with the home run, and the Schwarber game was absolutely fantastic,” Philadelphia coach Rob Thompson said. “I mean, with the great show we had tonight, that’s all we need.”
