Important dates as the 2022-23 season approaches

Ann Arbor, Michigan – The calendar has turned to October, which means college basketball season is about to end.

The Michigan men’s basketball team begins its 2022-23 campaign with an exhibition against Ferris State on November 4. The regular season begins Monday, November 7th versus Bordeaux-Fort Wayne. According to Jeff Goodman, the show will also travel to Florida for a closed exhibition on a date yet to be determined.

Meanwhile, the Kim Barnes Ariko Women’s Show held a show on November 5 against Daemon University before the regular season opener on November 9 against Delaware State.

Here are important dates to know as the seasons approach:

Ten big media days for basketball

Big Ten Media Day for both men’s and women’s programming is October 11-12 at the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Both UM programs will participate on Wednesday 12, with Arico’s press conference at 10:50 a.m. ET and Joanne Howard at 11 a.m. ET.

All press conferences are broadcast live on the Big Ten Network and the FOX Sports app, and broadcast on Big Ten Conference social media channels.

The representatives of the Michigan players in the Big Ten Basketball Media Days are Dickinson’s hunterAnd the Jess Howard And the Jaylene Llewellyn by men. Women will be represented by Lega Braun, Emily Kaiser and Leila Velia.

Michigan Madness at Chrysler Center

Both programs will participate in Michigan Madness Friday, October 21, at the Crisler Center, starting at 6:30 p.m.

The event schedule is as follows:

5:30 PM – Seats doors open

6:00 PM – The Michigan madness begins

  • Team Introductions – Find out the full list of players and coaches from the men’s and women’s teams.
  • Q&A Session – Hear Coach Barnes Ariko, Coach Howard and the players as they break down the season predictions and excitement for the 2022-23 teams.
  • 3-Point Competition – Players from the men’s and women’s teams and the Maize Rage team will compete when they call it from a distance.
  • Dance Off – Find out which team has the best moves as the men’s and women’s teams show off their moves on the dance floor.
  • Lightning – Watch the men’s and women’s team members along with the members of the Maize Rage battle to see who is the last leader.
  • Shooting Challenge – Watch the women’s team members compete with Maize Rage to see who the best shooters from across the court are.
  • Dunk Competition – Select players from the men’s team over the edge will compete in this event for the first time. who will win? Perhaps you, the admirer, will help in making the decision?

8:00 pm – End of the event

The event is free and open to the public with no tickets required.

Preseason Honorees: Michigan Basketball

Center Hunter Dickinson was a unanimous pick for the men’s Big Ten’s Preseason All-Big Ten. Goalkeeper Leigha Brown earned a spot in Women’s Preseason All-Big Ten.
