Muscular Rocco Ritchie credits his parents Madonna and Guy Ritchie with raising him in a ‘creative home’ which led to his career where he donned a shirtless for Vogue photo shoots.
Rocco Ricci is credited with his parents Madonna and Guy Ritchie for raising him in a “creative family” that has now led to his artistic career.
The 22-year-old is building a career as an illustrator and has co-founded his own gallery called Maison Rhed, the name taken from his nickname Rhed which he used early in his career.
Talking to vogue hong kongwhere he also came to take pictures, told Rocco how, although neither of his parents were painters, they fostered a love of art in him from a young age.

‘It certainly helped,’ he said, ‘that you grew up in a home that was passionate about art and culture. Neither of my parents were painters, but both are artists in their own right and taught me to appreciate and respect her. Their mutual infatuation eventually piqued my interest, and since I remember I was always surrounded by it.
In order to showcase his work on merit alone, Rocco released his previous work under the name Reed.
The artist insisted that he was proud of all the achievements of his famous parents, but he wanted time to develop as a painter without “public judgment.”
He said: Reid is just a name. The only real meaning and significance of that was that my life and my career didn’t confuse each other, especially at a point where I didn’t get the title yet.

It’s not that I don’t feel prouder for who I am, on the contrary, I couldn’t be more proud of my parents and what they accomplished and in turn taught me. I just needed enough time to develop my lessons and try them out just as they did, without the extreme general judgment. Red was a mask until he wasn’t.
In 2018, Rocco joined Central Saint Martins in London to study fine art and later enrolled at the Royal School of Painting.
He views European art of the early 20th century as his primary influence and currently works out of his studio in West London.
While he debuted under the name Rhed, Rocco said he has no plans for another show anytime soon because he wants to devote more time to working on his craft.

Rocco celebrated his 22nd birthday last month with a party in Sicily where his mother and several of his siblings joined him.
Ahead of her birthday on August 16, Madonna took to Instagram to wish her son a happy birthday.
Madonna turned to a photo-sharing app to upload multiple photos from a decadent dinner party outside.
‘It certainly helped,’ said Rocco, ‘that you grew up in a home that was passionate about art and culture.’
He said, ‘None of my parents are painters, but both are artists in their own right and they have taught me to appreciate and respect them’
He added, “Their joint infatuation eventually piqued my interest and since I remember I was always surrounded by it.”
In the caption to her 18.4 million followers, she wrote: ‘From one Leo to another!! Happy birthday Rocco.
Her other children also appeared in several anthologies: David Banda and Mercy James, both sixteen, and Steele and Esther Ciccone, both nine.
Madonna is also mother to daughter Lourdes, 25, with whom she shares ex Carlos Leon.
