Swiss startup Creal is developing an AR lens that should offer significant advantages over existing AR optical systems. New video explaining its function.

The lens is one of the essential components of transparent augmented reality headsets. Called “complexes” in technical jargon, they combine natural and digital light for believable augmented reality.

Ideally, AR lenses should meet the full range of requirements:

  • It should be transparent in both directions,
  • Does not produce artifacts (such as rainbow effect),
  • Allows high-quality, bright and energy-efficient 3D graphics,

Creal Evolution 3D AR Lens

Swiss startup Creal (pronounced “see-real”) is based on a different type of ROM, called HOEs (3D visual elements“).
